NHMR YPN Update July 2019
Hello YPNers!!

July 19th Meeting - Personal Safety Demonstration
The July 19th meeting will be held at Shaolin Kempo Academy in East Haven, 35 Frontage Road (Home Depot Plaza). The instructor, Ross, will give a talk as well as demonstrate self defense techniques and allow participants to practice on his life-sized dummies. Attendees are encouraged to come dressed in clothing that one would wear to work, just as they might be dressed in situations when suddenly confronted by an assailant.

The Law Office of Attorney David Minicozzi  is sponsoring the lunch for this meeting. Thank you Attorney Minicozzi! Please register on Eventbrite, to ensure an accurate count for lunch.

8/4 Walnut Beach Ice Cream Run, to Benefit Boys and Girls Club of Milford

8/10 Woofstock on the Branford Green, to Benefit the Dan Cosgrove Animal Shelter
The NHMR YPN helps out at these events annually. We have fun while volunteering for great causes.

The commitment required to volunteer at the Ice Cream Run is helping at the Hydration Station, which includes: filling & distributing cups, encouraging the runners, and spraying runners with mist. Volunteers can report back to the pavilion for ice cream and networking after the race.

At Woofstock we host a YPN table and speak to attendees about real estate. The Woofstock event volunteers can choose a time slot & display business cards. In the past, volunteers have brought dog treats for sharing with the pups.
9/23 Blood Drive
Thank you for your patience, as we postponed the Blood Drive that was scheduled for June 28th. We have a new date for the Blood Drive, it will be held on Monday, September 23rd at the Guilford Office. Go to redcrossblood.org to register, sponsor name NHMR. Please review eligibility requirements prior to signing up.
