At NHP, we’re committed to improving the health and wellness of our communities across Region 2 of Colorado. As the regional organization for Health First Colorado, we offer a whole-person approach to care, integrating physical and behavioral health services to support our members every step of the way. We proudly serve members in the following counties as part of Phase III of the Accountable Care Collaborative (ACC): Baca, Bent, Cheyenne, Crowley, Elbert, Kiowa, Kit Carson, Larimer, Lincoln, Logan, Morgan, Otero, Phillips, Prowers, Sedgwick, Washington, Weld, and Yuma. Learn more by visiting our website! | | August is National Immunization Awareness Month |
During August we highlight the importance of vaccinations for people of all ages across our communities.
For adults, a great way to stay up to date with immunizations is to make an appointment for an annual exam/well-visit.
For youth, back to school is an awesome time to schedule a well-visit for your child/children to make sure they are up to date with their immunizations.

Back to School
A great time for well-visits is around back to school! Well-visits help to screen for and decrease future health problems, ensuring you, your family and community stay healthy and thriving. Plus, you can get your sports physical done during your well-visit, too! Learn more at nhprae2.org.

Congratulations to our Community Investment Grantees

Meet Jim Luft
Originally from the Chicago area, Jim moved to San Diego in his early 20’s where he met his wife, Melissa. They lived in Yuma, Arizona for the past 8 years before moving to Loveland to be closer to family. Jim and his wife have four daughters, four granddaughters, one grandson, and two more granddaughters on the way! Jim and his wife enjoy hiking, paddleboarding, and taking their jet-skis to the local lakes.
Jim started his career in retail grocery at the age of 15, transitioning into management at 21 and then into training and development for the bulk of his career. This piqued his interest in human resources and his pursuit to achieve certifications in HR. He has both his SHRM-CP and PHR. Jim's passion in his career has always been helping others achieve their career goals. He enjoys following the career growth of many of those that he has worked with in the past. Theodore Roosevelt once said, “Nobody cares how much you know, until they know how much you care.” This has been Jim's leadership model throughout his career.
Fun Fact: Jim once had the opportunity to fly in a WWII era PBY Catalina. This is the float plane that was used to rescue survivors of naval battles at sea.
