 NHPA West Region

The Western States NHPA chapters are currently working on planning health fairs throughout California for Hispanic Heritage month. Students have been meeting with Dr. Mark Diaz and the Western States Regional Director, Yvonne Alva, Pharm.D., to organize resources and materials for patients in cities with a large Latinx population. Our first event will be August 30 at the Fresno Mexican Consulate.

Other health fairs are planned for October in San Francisco, Los Angeles, and San Diego. As the Western States Regional Director, Yvonne plans to get in touch with pharmacy schools in other states in the Western region to build a large network and connect as many Hispanic pharmacists and students as possible.
