New Insulation Industry Impact Survey Coming Soon
NIA and the associations representing the insulation industry are surveying contractors every few weeks to gain insights on how COVID-19 is impacting our industry. A Roundup of General Construction Surveys & Analysis:
  • Regarding construction backlog, based on an Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC) member survey conducted April 20-May 4, ABC's Construction Backlog Indicator fell to 7.8 months in April, the series’ lowest reading since the third quarter of 2012. Click here to read more.

  • Regarding construction unemployment, Associated General Contractors of America (AGC) reported that construction employment declined by 975,000 jobs in April. Click here to read more.

  • Regarding construction starts, Dodge Data & Analytics reported that total construction starts declined 25% from March to April to a seasonally adjusted annual rate of $572.2 billion. Click here to read more.
