In the Democratic Republic of the Congo, UMC ministries offer a positive future to people living with HIV and AIDS. The UM Board of Global Ministries’ Global Health program helps supports more than 100 women living with HIV. Bénédicte, 41, one recipient of the aid, is grateful for the start-up funds that enabled her to establish a business and support her family. She says she is also no longer marginalized by her neighbors. “Thanks to the help I received from The United Methodist Church,” she said, “I feel integrated into society because I have regained my health.” Your apportionment giving provides hope for people like Bénédicte and her children.
