Plans for 2020
"Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. Philippians 4:6

Happy New Year!

We have had the opportunity to share that greeting quite a few times in recent days. It brings the excitement of a new start, new opportunities, new goals, etc… and yet, sometimes anxiety and uncertainty of the days ahead. We wonder: What will 2020 hold in store for me? Will I remain healthy or recover from an illness? Will my finances hold out? Will my ministry opportunities be blessed?

No matter what the situation, struggle, or challenge, we know without a doubt, that we are encouraged to take it all to God in prayer. He hears us before we even utter a word. Do not be hindered by the fear of stepping out and being challenged when you don’t have all the answers. God’s plan is always in motion and He uses us in different ways to accomplish His purpose in His time.

Each new day that God blesses us with, is a new start for us to live for Him and share our faith and the promise of life in Christ! God knows the plans He has for us. Through His redeeming love, we do not have to be anxious. We are loved and forgiven by the blood of Jesus. We can begin each day knowing that God has it all in His control and care. Live this new year as living for Christ.

Continue to Share

Don’t lose the light that Jesus puts in our hearts! As we move into the year 2020, I pray that relationships will continue to grow strong as teachers and administrators reach out to each other and learn from one another. May our schools continue to bond in the unity of sharing Jesus with the students and their families.

FROM THE DISTRICT OFFICE
Filled with living hope in Christ,

Confessing, Praising,

and Advancing His Kingdom

Hearts for Jesus
Our NID ‘Hearts for Jesus’ focus for missions this year is The Lutheran Heritage Foundation. Visit lhfmissions.org for general information.
A goal has been set that each child in the NID contribute 2 quarters to the mission fund this year! What a blessing that will be for LHF. Please send your contribution to Lois Stewart at the NID Office (2301 S. Wolf Rd., Hillside, IL 60162). One check will be sent to Lutheran Heritage Foundation from our office on the behalf of all contributing schools.
Welcome and God's Blessings
Please join me in welcoming our new Early Childhood Consultant! We are excited to have Amy Cimarusti assisting Early Childhood Centers as they seek answers for their questions. Amy is the Early Childhood Director at St. Paul, Mount Prospect. Amy joins our other consultants: Julie Klopke and Melissa Smith. We give God the glory as she joins the group.
School Support Fund Invoice
Please consider contributing at least $1.00 per student to the NID School Support Fund. This fund helps offset the many services which cost the district, but are provided free or at a greatly reduced cost to schools. Some have asked for an ‘invoice’ to provide for accounting purposes. You may print that below:
Share Stories and Celebrations
God is at work in our schools each and every day. There are celebrations happening that we would like to share with our NID family. When you have a special story or celebration, please share it with our office so we can all give thanks to God with you. You may send those celebrations to lois.stewart@nidlcms.org or ann.ciaccio@nidlcms.org
