Make a Joyful Noise
"Make a joyful noise to the LORD, all the earth; break forth into joyous song and sing praises!" Psalm 98:4
Happy National Lutheran Schools Week!
Our Lutheran schools and the many dedicated workers are a blessing from God! Each and every day, the love of Jesus is shared with thousands of children. You are part of a special community!
The theme chosen for this year is evident each day in our schools. Making a "joyful noise" in our schools is a regular and anticipated event. It is heard daily as the principal welcomes the happy children into the building at the start of a new day. Whether a rainy, snowy, or sunshining day, there is a joyful noise in our school halls.
In 1847, the first LCMS schools began. For many years since, being joy-filled for families with instruction in our faith, quality academics, and care has been a highest priority. God guides schools and workers each day. We continue to lift them all up in prayer. We pray for all of our workers and servants.
Lutheran schools serve because Jesus served. Our schools are where many children hear about their Savior for the first time in their classroom. These schools serve as a ministry and mission of the local congregation. Praise be to God for our schools! Jesus is always present in Lutheran schools.
As Psalm 98:4 says, "... let all the earth break forth in song." As sinners in a sinful world, we need Jesus as our Savior and Redeemer. He paid the price once for all, and we can be glad. Praise is on our lips and in our hearts.
May God continue to bless and strengthen our Lutheran schools and workers as they rest in Him! Let’s make some beautiful noise.
