Fan into Flame
‘For this reason I remind you to fan into flame the gift of God, which is in you.’
2 Timothy 1:6a
The school year is starting to wind down. The energy is getting depleted and there is much to do before that final bell rings. Unless you maintain your enthusiasm, it will wear you down quickly. A day at school that once challenged and energized you can become monotonous and a daily walk with God that once inspired you can feel like just going through the motions.
But how do you stay inspired? ‘Never be lacking in zeal, but keep your spiritual fervor, serving the Lord’ (Romans 12:11). Go to God in prayer, kneel before Him, and open your heart to hear His voice. God loves to hear you pray and He knows what you need well in advance of you asking. Consider implementing the A-C-T-S model: Adoration, Confession, Thanksgiving, Supplication.
God has blessed everyone with a special package of gifts and abilities. Even in our tiredness, God calls us to serve by using those gifts. The energy we need will come from Him. Ask God for the desire and energy to remain filled with the flame to share His love and use the gifts He blessed you with. Today, focus on one thing that will bring you joy as you fan into flame using the gift from God. Listen to Jesus. Look at His work for you.
Realize that the presence and power of God lives within you. Put a smile on your face and a spring in your step. Remember whose Kingdom you’re a citizen of. God’s!
As we place our faith and trust in God (no matter the stresses we face), we can all be thankful that God holds us in the palm of His hand and gives us what He knows is best for us. So, when trials come, step back and know God’s plan is perfect. Stay in the Word. Take care of yourself to be Well. Use your words and life as a Witness.
Be encouraged and lift one another up in prayer as I lift you up each day.

National Lutheran School Accreditation News
District NLSA Annual Fees and Cumulative Annual Reports were due April 15, 2022. Schools with fees and reports due received a notice on April 18, 2022.
The District Accreditation Commission will meet on May 19, 2022 to consider the accreditation status and level for schools with such insufficiencies as missing fees, missing Cumulative Annual Reports, and insufficient progress on School Action Plans. Checks for the NID annual accreditation fee of $125.00 should be made out to the LCMS Northern Illinois District and sent directly to the District Accreditation Coordinator.

TEC21
Have you held your spot(s) for Season 14 2022-2023 TEC21 cohorts?
In the countdown to the end of the school year, don’t forget to save your spots for Season 14 2022-2023 TEC21 cohorts. We will soon set workshop dates and determine how many facilitators to assign, but rest assured you can make and finalize your registrations up to the first workshop day in September.
We are so excited about the plans on the table for next season and thank God for the privilege of supporting our church workers!
Hold seats with just your (principal) name here and pay for the workshop program's registration fee later—in September—using Title money, EANS funding, support from a donor in your church or school, or monies budgeted for professional development.
Register in minutes for this powerful professional learning community and look out for next season! We’ll head to the TEC21 summer facilitators’ academy in June to explore new and innovative ways to support the broad community of church workers while we continue to train, equip, encourage, and support schoolteachers in our Season 14 cohorts!
