NIDA Summer Challenges: Due: July 7, 2021
In partnership with We R Native, the National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA) is hosting two challenges this Summer to recognize and draw upon the strengths and resilience of Indigenous people that protects against substance misuse. The two challenges include:

Challenge #1: I Strengthen My Nation:
Artistic Expressions of Resilience Against Substance Misuse
Youth 14-25 years old are invited to submit any original form of art and describe how it depicts resilience against substance misuse.

Prizes: $500 individual submission, $1,000 group submission (approx. 25 prizes). Learn more here.

Challenge #2:
I Strengthen My Nation: Community Projects Created by Youth
Teens and young adults are invited to 1) plan a project that would promote resilience against drug misuse, and 2) create a video that describes resilience against substance misuse in yourself and/or your community and how your project could enhance it.

Prizes: $2,000-$10,000 per entry, total awards: $85,000

Submissions close: July 7th
Winners will be announced: July 30, 2021
