ADAPTIVE PHYSICAL EDUCATION NEWS

What did our NIS preschoolers do in gym the month of March? March of course!  They m arche d forwards, b ackwards, uphill, downhill, and while tapping marching sticks, kee ping time! All of these activities are great for developing endurance, abdominal strength (with high knees), and rhythm concepts needed to develop strong and "in control" bodies!  Click here to learn what other exciting activities our NIS students did in gym last month, and creative tips for ways you can encourage physical activity at home.
Spring is here!  The weather is getting nicer, so now is the time of year that we love to be outside.  Please keep in mind children should always be dressed appropriately.  Although sandals are fashionable, they are not a safe choice of footwear.  Children should wear supportive shoes that protect their feet.  It is also the time when you should send in a new set of appropriate clothes for us to keep on hand for any emergencies.  Have a happy and healthy spring!
