Nearly 17,000 Snack Packs Delivered to NISD Students
The Snack Pack program is part of the iNvest2Serve initi ative, serving students in Northwest ISD who are in need of food and cannot access other community resources. Your support positively impacts families who are most at risk of not having food during the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. Click the image above to watch the snack pack operation in action!
Food Pantry Opens at Chisholm Trail Middle School
Chisholm Trail Middle School will be hosting a food pantry open to the public from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, July 25 . The food pantry will be on a first-come, first-served basis with everything from non-perishables to produce available.

Jennifer Burton Selected to Lead Northwest ISD Education Foundation (NEF)
Jennifer Burton, an NISD parent and former board member for the Northwest ISD Education Foundation (NEF), has been named the new executive director for NEF. In her new role, Burton will lead the administration, programs and strategic plan for the foundation. NEF is a 501(c)(3) non-profit, tax-exempt organization composed of community leaders and businesses, working together to enhance the quality of education in NISD.

Northwest ISD Back-to-School Fair Vendor Opportunity Now Available
This year, the 2020 Back-to-School Fair will be an entirely drive-thru experience for NISD students and families. Vendors will still have an opportunity to showcase their company and services to approximately 1,000 NISD students and their families! We will be distributing vendor bags to every family that "drives through" the fair. Additional opportunities are available for vendors who can provide free or low-cost services like haircuts, eye exams or dental screenings.

NEF Teaching Grant Application is Open Now

For 20 years, the Northwest ISD Education Foundation has supported NISD teachers through its teaching grant program. This program has awarded nearly $1.8 million to enhance education and to provide resources that help students and teachers work at their highest potential. Teachers can review the grant guidelines and see recently awarded grants from 2019 for inspiration!
