Support The Great NEF Gala on May 4!
Join the Northwest ISD Education Foundation for a night of roaring fun to celebrate its 20th anniversary! The Great NEF Gala will take you back to the 1920's in Great Gatsby style, with lively music, decadent food, and silent and live auctions, to raise funds to benefit students and teachers in Northwest ISD.

There are many ways to support the foundation. You can ensure this year is a success by attending the event with friends and family, volunteering at the event, bidding in the online auction, or even contributing to the fundraising efforts of the silent and live auction!  For more information on the event and how you can get involved, visit our website at If you have additional questions, please contact Alyssa Edstrom at or 817-215-0084.
Aquaponics: Tank to Table at BNHS
Every year, the Northwest ISD Education Foundation surprises teachers across the district with grants to provide unique learning experiences for students. Since 1999, the foundation has awarded more than $1.6 million in innovative teaching grants.

Last month, we followed up with a former grant recipient for a project update and to find out how it's helping students learn about sustainable agriculture. In this video, students at Byron Nelson High School explain how their Aquaponics system works, and the fate of the catfish involved.
