Applications are now open for the 2025 Short Course on Multilingual Approaches to Research Studies (MARS)! 


Now in its 4th year, MARS offers in-person sessions covering best practices for working with interpreters, translation protocols, and managing multilingual studies. Open to researchers across disciplines, this course is ideal for graduate, postdoctoral, early career, and senior investigators. Apply now—applications are accepted on a rolling basis!

Grant awards will range from $25,000 to $100,000.


The grant period will be one year, beginning January 1, 2025

 

Up to $650,000 will be awarded in this funding cycle.

Notice of Intent to Publish a Funding Opportunity Announcement for Advancing Health Equity through Interventions to Prevent and Address Housing Instability (R01 Clinical Trial Optional)


The funding opportunity from the National Institute of Nursing Research (NINR) will aim to support research that advances health equity through development, testing, and evaluation of interventions that prevent and address housing instability. Applications responding to this funding opportunity should develop, test, and/or evaluate the impact of a housing intervention on both health and housing outcome(s).


The first estimated application due date is December 2024. Those who are interested should contact Julia Seay, PhD at julia.seay@nih.gov.

Dr. Steve Barnett, Dr. Alexandra Figueras-Daniel, Dr. Manuel Jimenez, Dr. Allison Friedman-Krauss, and Dr. Milagros Nores are part of the Big Ten Early Learning Alliance, which unites early childhood experts from Big Ten universities across 11 states. The Alliance collaborates on research to deepen understanding of early childhood development and shares findings to inform policy and practice. Their inaugural brief analyzes early childhood education for nearly six million children under five in conference states.
