Over 120 participants gathered at Stevens Institute of Technology on March 19 for the NJCRC’s first Coastal Flooding Technical Workshop. The full-day event featured 31 insightful presentations by experts in the field about the latest strategies and technologies to address coastal flooding challenges.

ASBPA Turns 100

The American Shore & Beach Preservation Association (ASBPA) is celebrating 100 years of preserving, protecting, and enhancing our coasts in 2026! Founded in New Jersey in 1926, ASBPA has been at the forefront of coastal resilience for nearly a century.

The recent ASBPA Coastal Summit hosted in Washington, DC united policymakers, scientists, and coastal advocates to address critical issues facing our shores. As part of Coasts Week 2025, a powerful, coordinated effort to ensure the voices of coastal communities and stakeholders are heard on Capitol Hill, the Summit reinforces the importance of science-based coastal management.

NJDEP Climate Resilience Directory: Your gateway to discovering funding opportunities to enhance your community's resilience
USFWS Delaware Watershed Conservation Fund: Provides grants to help partners identify, plan, and implement projects in the watershed that support reducing flooding and runoff, restoring fish and wildlife habitats, improving water quality, and enhancing safe recreational access for the public.
USFWS National Coastal Wetlands Conservation Grants Program: Provides grants of up to $1 million to restore and enhance coastal wetland ecosystems and associated uplands.
NFWF National Coastal Resilience Fund 2025 Request for Proposals: For planning, design, and implementation of nature-based solutions to enhance protection for coastal communities from the impacts of storms, floods, and other natural hazards while improving habitats for fish and wildlife.
NOAA Coastal Habitat Restoration and Resilience Grants for Tribes and Underserved Communities: Funding will help support community-driven habitat restoration and build the capacity of tribes and underserved communities to more fully participate in restoration activities.
