The NJCTS Gala is planned for October 16, 2025. A big thank you to Cat Porter and Tim Omaggio who will co-chair the event.


We are looking for volunteers to help them as members of our Committee. Our volunteers help with identifying sponsors, planning the evening's program, acquiring silent auction items, and supporting the staff during the event.

Mastering Executive Function: Strategies for Success

Join us for an informative and engaging community presentation focused on understanding and improving executive function skills, which are essential for success in school, work, and everyday life. Drs. Hui Jiang and Amanda Ferriola, co-founders of the PrEP Program will discuss significant challenges facing both students and parents.

This session is open to everyone, and it’s especially valuable for parents, educators, and caregivers.You will also have the opportunity to meet staff from NJCTS and learn about their programs and services.

Today’s Challenge, Tomorrow’s Strength: A Support Group for Parents of Children with Tourette

March 19 at 9 a.m.


The monthly NJCTS support group is an avenue for parents who are new to a tic disorder diagnosis to seek support and guidance from parents who have more experience, as well as an opportunity for parents with more familiarity in coping with a diagnosis to also learn and seek guidance. The group is facilitated by Dr. Jeremy Lichtman, an expert in the treatment of TS, who is there to answer questions and provide guidance wherever you may be in your TS journey.

Tourette Talk: IEPs and 504 Plans: Maintaining Your Child’s Educational Rights

March 20 at 7 p.m.


In this Tourette Talk you will learn about the process for obtaining an IEP or a 504 Plan, your rights and a school district’s obligations, and how to navigate if a school is not responsive to your requests for special education and related services and 504s, with the help of a special education attorney.
