NJCTS Tim Howard Leadership Academy Class of 2017 Embraces Leadership Role
The 4th annual NJCTS Tim Howard Leadership Academy was our best yet! Each of the participants took part in an intensive four-day training, promoting self-empowerment, self-leadership, and resilience--all important skills to succeed while living with Tourette Syndrome.
The Academy took place at Rutgers University from August 3-6 where leading TS experts led presentations and workshops throughout the program. Participants had the opportunity to learn from neurologists, geneticists, psychologists, social workers, and others about their diagnoses.

Join the community - Volunteer!
NJCTS would not be able to provide programs and services in every corner of New Jersey if not for its vibrant, dedicated volunteers! We are always in need of teens, adults, and families to help spread the word, get some office work done, or help out at an event. We are looking for:
- Oct. 1: Volunteers for TS Rocks securing silent auction items and/or day-of help
- Oct. 18: Table volunteers for NJAAP School Health Conference in Somerset, NJ
- October & November: Office volunteers needed in Somerville, NJ
- Nov. 9-10: Table volunteers for NJEA Convention in Atlantic City, NJ
- Nov. 18: Volunteers needed for NJ Walks for TS in North Jersey
If you would like to get involved and give back to an organization that has helped you, please contact us at 908-575-7350 or info@njcts.org to see how you can help!
