Food insecurity became an immediate concern for local families during COVID-19. The Bergen Family Center jumped into action - partnering with local businesses, non-profit organizations, houses of worship, and various food distribution efforts to make sure that families are fed. Shop Rite gift cards allow families to select their own healthy food choices.

Small Business Emergency Assistance Grant Program

The New Jersey Economic Development Authority (NJEDA) today announced that applications for the expanded Small Business Emergency Assistance Grant Program will be available at 9:00 a.m. on June 9, 2020 in both English and Spanish. The $45 million program will provide grants up to $10,000 to small businesses impacted by the coronavirus pandemic. 

SNAP Process and Technology Improvement Grants

This grant competition supports efforts by state agencies and their community-based and faith-based partners to develop and implement projects that focus on improving the quality and efficiency of SNAP operations and processes.
