Important Program Updates

Due to the current health concerns related to COVID-19, the vast majority of NJHMFA staff will be working remotely until further notice. Please contact Agency staff via their work email address. NJHMFA encourages all of our business partners and constituents to submit any and all documentation in an electronic format whenever possible as staff will continue to check email and review information submitted electronically.  
Audits/Physical Inspections:  All file audits and physical inspections have been postponed until further notice.    

9% Application Deadline:  No changes have been made to the 9% timeline at this time. However, please continue to monitor Agency communications for future updates and announcements. The Agency expects to announce whether there will be any adjustments to the 9% timeline next week.    

Qualified Allocation Plan (QAP) comments:  The Agency will continue to accept informal comments to the QAP through March 31. Please submit your comments electronically to the LIHTC mailbox . Feel free to respond to the specific questions in the email dated February 27, 2020, or submit general feedback on the QAP and/or the process. 

Green Homes Requirements:  All pre- and post-construction authorization letters will continue to be processed and provided when the required documents are being provided by developers. In addition, all benchmarking data continues to be received and acknowledged by staff.  

Please be assured, NJHMFA staff continues to work diligently to provide you with the information you need. We will continue to provide updates through email as necessary.
