Social Workers: Elevate Social Work
Celebrated each March, National Professional Social Work Month is an opportunity for social workers across the country to turn the spotlight on the profession and highlight the important contributions they make to society. Our nation’s more than 680,000 social workers have amazing tenacity and talent. They confront some of the most challenging issues facing individuals, families, communities and society and forge solutions that help people reach their full potential and make our nation a better place to live.
NJHSA is proud to recognize the social workers of our large and diverse Network who each day work to support and strengthen their communities.

The Gender Equity in Hiring in the Jewish Community Project (GEiHP) believes that the hiring process is a key leverage point for organizations as they begin to address their gender biases.
In order for the change we seek to become embedded in our communal organizations and our individual actions, we must dig deeply into cultures of bias and build capacity to recognize and correct these biases as we build support systems to align hiring practices with our Jewish values of equality and fairness.  Click here to learn more and apply for one of our first three cohorts, spring 2019 .
