As we approach the New Year, we reflect on the events of 2020 with bittersweet memories. The Pandemic has taken so many lives and has also left so many with hardship. Yet, we have seen love and support for our teachers, first responders, and those on the front lines. We have also witnessed kind acts across our country and our great state of New Jersey. We have navigated our educational system through virtual and hybrid classes while always considering the safety of our teachers, administrators, children, and families and how to ensure the academic responsibilities are continuing for all students.
Through it all, and what we at New Jersey PTA are most proud of is that we have continued to maintain our devotion to this significant association. More than anything else, our Local PTAs across the state have persevered through all this year's obstacles. Each has continued its dedication to being a voice for all children. We have accomplished so much, and moving forward, we will continue to work together to ensure an equitable education for all.
Looking forward, we see hope, and we will always see all the possibilities for positive change. We will continue with goals and continue to be that voice for all children!
On behalf of New Jersey PTA, I would like to wish all of you and your families a very safe, healthy, and happy holiday season and New Year.

As a member of your local PTA, this is an excellent opportunity to network with fellow PTA advocates, virtually meet with your members of Congress, hear PTA advocacy success stories and learn how to shape public policy on Capitol Hill and with your legislators at home.
Attending LegCon2021 Live is your opportunity to be joined virtually by your fellow PTA members and other passionate advocates. They will share advanced advocacy skills and strategies to help you meet your policy goals.

Ways to Make Your PTA Virtual |

NEW VIRTUAL RESOURCE WEBPAGE: National PTA compiled resources to help local PTA leaders move their PTA into the virtual world. Resources include leadership training, growing membership virtually, online programs and socially distanced family engagement.
TWO LOCAL PTA MEMBERSHIP TRAININGS: Two 15-minute recorded webinars designed for local units navigating PTAing in a virtual world. The Virtual Membership campaign mini-webinar covers making it easy to join online, making the case that PTA is worth it, and forming an effective ask. The Effective and Engaging Virtual Meetings webinar differentiates meetings from other events, and provides suggestions to streamline meetings, and convey the value of member participation. To access both webinars, leaders must be signed into the PTA Kit. They are also linked to the new Lead a Virtual PTA webpage. Help spread the word about the new membership focused resources – post on your social media, on your websites, add to your virtual local PTA trainings, and more. Look for additional short trainings to come soon.
