New Jersey Update
This afternoon, Governor Phil Murphy announced an additional 2,479 positive COVID-19 cases, increasing the statewide total to 870,986. An additional 27 deaths were announced, increasing the statewide total to 22,717. The rate of transmission is 0.93. The total number of vaccine doses that have been administered in NJ is 6,407,175 and 2,682,510 residents have been fully vaccinated.

As of Monday, 186 school districts are open for all in-person instruction, 526 are open for hybrid instruction, 69 schools are all remote, with 30 districts using a combination of the above across different buildings.

Ahead of Earth Day, which was yesterday, Governor Murphy touted his Administration's strides in environmental policies. He emphasized that over the last year, NJ has continued efforts in the offshore wind industry, signed into law a historic environmental justice measure to protect overburdened communities, and signed into law that K-12 curriculums must include climate education.
