THIS WEEK IN TRENTON

Governor Murphy's Communication Office announced yesterday afternoon that he has tested positive for COVID-19, he is reportedly having minor symptoms. He discussed this and state issues during the Ask Governor Murphy via Zoom broadcast yesterday.


On Wednesday, the Administration released the Health Care Affordability, Responsibility and Transparency (HART) report. The plan sets targets for health care leaders to address costs in an effort to slow the rate of unsustainable growth. The program was developed by the Interagency Health Care Affordability Working Group and the Office of Health Care Affordability and Transparency. This week, public hearings on the State's Fiscal Year 2023 budget continued in the Senate Budget and Appropriations Committee. Departmental and agency hearings begin next week, April 4th in the Assembly Budget Committee:

  • 10:00AM - Hearing on the FY 2023 Budget: Budget Overview and Revenue Forecast (Office of Legislative Services)
  • 11:00AM - Hearing on the FY 2023 Budget: Budget Overview (State Treasurer)


On Tuesday, April 5th, the Senate Budget and Appropriations Committee will hold the following meetings:

  • 11:00AM - Hearing on the FY 2023 Budget: Budget Overview and Revenue Forecast (Office of Legislative Services)
  • 11:30AM - Hearing on the FY 2023 Budget: Budget Overview (State Treasurer)
