IN-PERSON SERVICES HAVE RESUMED AT THE CHURCH

We have resumed our in-person church services with some social distancing changes and required masks. Adult Contemporary Issues Sunday school class, Children's Church, children's Sunday school and Nursery have resumed (Christians In Action will not meet until further notice).

We will still be offering virtual worship services for those that choose to wait longer for in-person worship. Please visit www.njumc.com and click on "virtual worship" on the home page and the "What's Happening Now Page".

FROM THE PASTOR...

For the past year I have had the privilege of being appointed to be your pastor. During that time one of the things that many of you have learned about me is that I love to play board games. There are a lot of reasons why I enjoy games, but one of the simplest reasons is that I like to win. In a good game, winning requires a decent amount of strategy, and strategy requires reflection. To form a winning strategy, it is important to assess where one has been and where they are going. As a church I think it is also important to take stock of where we have been and what we plan to do. LITTLE LIGHTS PRESCHOOL

And here it is... the start of a new school year. Many wonderful children have passed through our doors. I am looking forward to the 2020-21 school year. It will start on Monday, August 17 for the 4/5 year-old M/W/F classes. Classes will start for the 3 year-old T/TH classes on Tuesday, August 18.

We are looking forward to a great school

year with plenty of learning activities and experiences. Our day includes Play Time, Calendar Time, Bible Story Time, Learning Time, Puzzle Time, Snack Time, & Story Time. The students take turns bringing in snacks and being the leader. As the leader they get to "paint" at the easel, call the students to line up to use the bathroom, say the prayers, pass out napkins, etc. They LOVE to be the leader.

I am really looking forward to greeting all of my new students and returning students! I know this is going to be a year

filled with new experiences that God has in store for us!
