If you are not much of an Internet person, then it is possible you are not familiar with the website Kickstarter.   However, Kickstarter was a revolutionary concept for bringing creative projects to life.  Previously for artists, writers, and designers the process to publication was an arduous one.  It required an investment by a company or a lot of personal financial risk.   Kickstarter changed the game though, by introducing the concept of crowdfunding.

 WOMEN'S GATHERING

Abigail, Pastor's Sean's wife, wants to get to know the women of the church better.  With two kids to manage it can be hard to find time to get to meet people before and after the services.  To get better acquainted, Abigail invites the women of the church to join her at the Blue Jay Cafe at noon on Sunday, November 17th.  There is no real agenda, just a chance to get to know each other better.

"God has been good to me".  What a great
Thanksgiving verse from Genesis!  Why do
you celebrate Thanksgiving - to give thanks
to God for all He has done for you?  Do you
have a home, a family, food to eat, a job,
freedom to attend church, and a great
country in which to live?  God has given all
of these things to you!
Pilgrims were thankful for God's goodness to them.  From stories about these people our preschoolers will see that Thanksgiving is a great time to thank God for all the goodness and love that He has shown them.
We will celebrate this special time by
learning about the first Thanksgiving and
creating colorful turkeys.  We will be doing activities on shapes.  We will be learning about the circle, square, triangle, and rectangle. I thank God for all of my Little Lights
and their parents!  God surely has been
good to me!

All elementary aged kids (K-6th grade) are invited to our Super Sunday Parties!  These monthly parties are just for kids, and each month will have a different fun theme. This month is going to power up with a video game theme!  The November party will be at the church on November 24th from 6:00-7:00 p.m.

Dear NJUMC,

The dear people you just  helped with your gift to UMCOR may never have the opportunity to meet you, but if they did, I am certain their response would be - Thank you!  And through your financial support you are serving within a vital network of interactive relationships in the U.S. and in more than 60 countries in which UMCOR and partnering agencies engage in direct ministry to persons in need.

Grace and Peace,
Roland Fernandes, COO, Treasurer
