FROM THE PASTOR...
Church 

It used to be that Halloween was the one day a year that we got to dress up in elaborate costumes.  However, that has changed in recent years.   Dressing up in costumes is now a hobby in its own right.   It is called cosplay, and it is popular enough that national craft stores will often have dedicated cosplay displays.  Cosplay hobbyists will often create their own costumes from scratch.  To read more click here.

Red Bird Mission

 

In the month of October, 100% of your donations will be sent to Red Bird Mission, a comprehensive United Methodist Mission in Beverly, Kentucky.

YOUTH GROUP

The virtual youth group will be meeting on October 11th at 6:00 p.m.  On October 25th, youth group will be meeting in person in the fellowship hall at 6:00 p.m.  Social distancing guidelines will be followed and masks are needed.

  Little Lights Preschool
 
    With Fall starting, we've been talking about how the weather changes with the seasons. Halloween is on the minds of all the children.  They have already started deciding what costumes they'll be wearing to our party.
    They will be doing a variety of activities about Halloween and the colors black, white, and pink.
    Our preschoolers in the MWF classes will learn that God helps us do hard things through stories about David.  The T/TH classes will learn about Abraham and how God takes care of us.  There will be no preschool October 19-23 during Fall Break!

HENNY PENNY CHICKEN DINNER

11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.
DRIVE THRU CARRY OUTS ONLY
 
Enjoy a delicious chicken dinner including potatoes, coleslaw & cookies through a convenient drive-thru by Fellowship Hall!!!  All tickets are $10.00. Proceeds are to support our missionaries in Africa, Lowell & Claudia Wertz, and our Outreach Ministries.

TRICK OR TREAT TRAIL
SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 1ST
4:00-5:00 p.m.

In place of Trunk or Treat, this year we will be having a trick or treat trail outside around the church.  This format will allow for easier maintenance of social distancing.  Instead of trunks, we will be having tables.  We need at least fifteen people to sign up to host a table for the event to happen.  Participants are encouraged to decorate the tables.  You can sign up at the church during the month of October to host a table and participate.
