Church 
For many Americans, September hosts a day they have been anxiously awaiting for seven long months.   On September 5 th the new NFL season kicks off, as the teams return to the gridiron.   The most dedicated sports fans are almost fanatical in their devotion to their team.  They have a passion for their team and that passion is a defining aspect of who they are.  The most hardcore of sports seem to have a different approach to their love of the game or their team.

September Mission of the Month - NJUMC Camp Scholarships

 

In the month of September, 100% of your donations will be used to help children in our church attend church camp.  Please help support this vital ministry for our children.

UNITED METHODIST WOMEN NEWS 

 

Our meeting this month will be on Tuesday, September 10th at 1:30 p.m. in the Church Lounge.  All women are invited!  Elaine Ezra will be the leader.

PARSONAGE OPEN HOUSE

 

Everyone is invited to the parsonage for an open house on September 22nd from 4:00-6:00 p.m.  This will be a great opportunity to spend time together as a church community as well as get to know the pastor and family better. 

  
  
Little Lights Preschool

 
Preschool has gotten off to a good start.  Our preschoolers are getting used to our class routine and spending time away from their parents.  We started the year off with activities on colors.  During September the classes will work on the colors yellow, orange, purple, brown and black.  The students will enjoy looking for objects in the room that are the color of the week. 
Our MWF preschoolers will continue to hear stories about Daniel. They will learn that God watches over them.  Our T/TH class will continue to hear Bible stories about God making the world.  They will learn that God made the world and everything in it.

All elementary aged kids (K-6th grade) are invited to our Super Sunday Parties!  These monthly parties are just for kids, and each month will have a different fun theme.  This month the theme is Board Games!  The September party will be at the church on September 29th from 6:00-7:00 p.m.

Mark your calendars....

Please join us for our all-you-can-eat chicken dinner including potatoes, coleslaw, bread, drink and dessert.  Tickets are $9 for adults, $4.50 for 12 yrs. & under and preschool free. Proceeds are to support our missionaries in Africa, Lowell & Claudia Wertz.

SMALL GROUP STUDY

The new small group kick-off is Friday, September 6th.  That night will be a viewing of the movie War Room.  Then on Thursdays in Sept.(12th, 19th & 26th) we will meet to discuss how the movie connects with Scripture.  This small group will gather at 6:00 p.m. each night at the parsonage (6020 S. 300 W.)
