FROM THE PASTOR...
Church 
For decades now doomsayers have been proclaiming "print is dead."   First, it was an increase in TV channels and the rise of personal computers that would do away with printed materials.  The explosive use of the internet seemed to be proof of these cries.  Then it was a sure thing that e-readers like the kindle and nook would signal the complete collapse of the print industry.   Since the 1980's the landscape of the printed word has changed.  Printed newspapers and periodicals have suffered, as we do prefer to get news online.   Bookstores have also suffered a lot because people have also moved to online shopping.  To read more Click here

WHITEBOARD SESSION @ PARSONAGE

 

In order to transform our community we need to dream big!  We are going to have a "whiteboard session" to do just that.  The goal is to identify areas of need in our community and how those areas intersect with passions within our congregation.  Everyone in the church excited about the possibility of making a difference  is invited to come brainstorm and dream together.  This will be on Sunday, September 20th at 2:00 P.M.  It will be held outdoors at the church parsonage in order to best maintain social distancing.  

  
  
Little Lights Preschool

 
Preschool has gotten off to a good start.  Our preschoolers are getting used to our class routine and spending time away from their parents, and new COVID-19 protocols.
We started the year off with activities on colors.  During September the classes will work on the colors green, orange, purple, brown, & black.  The students will enjoy looking for objects in the room that are the color of the week. 
Our MWF preschoolers will continue to hear stories about Daniel. They will learn that God watches over them.  Our T/TH class will continue to hear Bible stories about God making the world.  They will learn that God made the world and everything in it.
They have been enjoying the new outdoor Play area!

Enjoy a delicious chicken dinner including potatoes & coleslaw through a convenient drive-thru by Fellowship Hall!!!  All tickets are $10.00. Proceeds are to support our missionaries in Africa, Lowell & Claudia Wertz, and our Outreach Ministries.  If you would like to sell or buy tickets, please see Dave Altman. Sign-up sheets for helpers will be in the Narthex soon!!!

BIBLE STUDY

A new Bible Study led by Pastor Sean will be starting Wednesday, September 9th, at 7:00 p.m. via ZOOM.  It is entitled "Stories Jesus Told".  If you are interested, there is a sign-up sheet in the Narthex.
