April Chapter Meeting: The Future of Home Connect and Technology at B/S/H/ Design & Experience Center
NKBA Manhattan Chapter members met in April at the B/S/H/ Experience & Design Center in the A&D Building for an engaging presentation on the future of Home Connect and technology implementation in the kitchen space. Presented by Johannes Ochsner , head of connected products and digital services at BSH Home Appliances Group , the presentation looked at the many ways that end users can interact with their appliances from their mobile devices, including status checks on appliance tasks, ordering supplies, and obtaining diagnostic information for service. Attendees were able to see various partner integrations that included recipe integration to promote healthier living. Lineadecor Looks at Market Trends That Impact Design Elements in Multifamily Settings
When designing commercial properties, the most important step is to understand the needs of the market. Nowadays, affordable luxury is on the rise along with the trend “less is more." People are becoming increasingly environmentally-conscious and sustainably-minded in building design and construction. We see that the market demands resilient and sustainable homes, and the materials chosen to be used in the kitchen and furniture business goes hand in hand with these market demands. Stronger, robust products are chosen as a result of the need for durability. Furthermore, unnecessarily high prices are not welcomed any longer; therefore, good quality sustainable products and great value are crucial.
Multitasking is another big necessity in this field. In today’s apartments, especially in multifamily settings, designing products offering several functional solutions is essential. An example for this type of product is Lineadecor’s pull-out table. The practical part of using a pull-out table is to create a maximum maneuverable space with the disappearance of dining tables while transforming the kitchen into a living space.
Lineadecor is a leading kitchen furniture brand, manufactured in Turkey and designed in Italy since 1996. With over 20 years of experience, the brand has been active in USA market since 2010, providing consultation and supplying kitchen furniture to prestigious real estate projects. For more information on their versatile product lines, please visit their website at lineadecor.us .
