New York Design Industry Summer Social: The Summer of Love!

New York City's premier design industry association chapters, NKBA, ASID, IFDA, IDS and DLFNY, combined forces to produce a blockbuster summer social last month! The soiree theme was "Flower Power: The Summer of Love" to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Woodstock. Tilebar graciously hosted the event in their two-floor Flatiron District showroom. Guests enjoyed dancing to groovy tunes, fun craft cocktails, period-appropriate hors d'oeuvres and more. A major thank you to Kent Brasloff, chief industry party guru. Hello GROOVY PEOPLE! I hope you were at our Flower Power: Summer of Love Summer Social! First, thanks to everyone on the inter association committee that made it happen and in particular to Kent Brasloff, grooviest event guru of them all. A fantastic time was had by all and the gathering of the NYC design community under one roof speaks volumes for the direction this industry is heading in.

The continued education of our community cross referencing kitchen and bath into interior design is important to our future and I look forward to our associations spending more time together. It is also my pleasure to announce that I will be continuing as NKBA Manhattan President through December of 2021. I appreciate all the support and look forward to working with our incoming council to create dynamic programming, networking and events. Committees for next year will be forming and all are welcome to join our greater council. Happy summer break and I look forward to seeing you in the fall. - Toni :)

The Monogram Designer Council was created to serve as the consultative voice for our brand decisions and showcase Monogram’s commitment to the design community. Comprised of 18 designers from over 10 cities, we brought the Monogram Designer Council together to cultivate a vision on everything from the design of our products to the experience of ownership. Each designer’s expertise will help Monogram realize timeless design trends and available opportunities.
