A Word from Charles
Happy Happy Easter Everyone, Thank God for Resurrection Sunday. My prayer for you all as we enter this wonderful month focused on the Resurrection of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. “Because He Lives, I can face tomorrow,” is a wonderful truth that we can share with everybody. Once again, let us take the golden opportunity of these next few days, to invite family, friends, coworkers, neighbors and even people we don’t know to church.
Pastor Adrian, Travis and the granddaughters have safely returned to Poland. I appreciate the Northern Kentucky welcome that was given to them by you. They enjoyed meeting and getting to know you. The Pastor’s fellowship was a great encouragement to them. I appreciate Petersburg and Mercy Ridge inviting them to speak to their congregation. We are praying for their financial need for the heat pump and solar panels. If you are looking for an international mission project for your VBS mission offering, here is an opportunity. Also there is also talks of mission trips for Poland in 2024. It would consist of English language camps for Polish Youth.
We have a couple of things happening in April. On April 21-22, there will be Disaster Relief training at Burlington Baptist Church. Chaplaincy Training will be 21-22. You have to be a Trained Volunteer to have Chaplaincy Training. The cost for this event is 30.00. Meal is included. We have many in Northern Kentucky that need to be Recredentialed. Let us work together to have a strong attendance for this event.
I am in conversation with the Tornado Recovery of Rolling Fork, Mississippi. You can make donations to Disaster Relief, Mississippi Baptist Convention Board for Disaster Relief efforts. I will share more information as I receive on what we can do in Northern Kentucky to help them.
Also, I have another event that I am excited about.
Dr Herschel and Tanya York will be with us at the Radisson Hotel in Covington on Saturday April 29, from 8-10 am. The event will be a time of encouragement for pastors, staff member and their spouses. Breakfast will be provided for this event. There is no cost for this event but you will need to contact Lori (
lorne@nkbaptist.org) for reservations.
Lastly, I praise the Lord of the salvation decisions that I have been hearing in our churches. I praise the Lord for those who are following the Lord in baptism. I was talking to a pastor the other day and he mentioned how he would like to see more salvations. I said, that reminds of that hymn that goes, “Mercy drops round me are falling but O for the showers we plead!” I pray that during the month of April, we will see the showers of the blessings of people coming to faith in Christ. The Apostle Paul said, “Let us not become weary in doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart.” Galatians 6:9 NKJV. Praying for you all.
Blessings,
Bro. Charles Frazier
