Val's Family Restaurant, located at 1601 N. Shawano St. (formerly Half Nelson's Restaurant and Lounge) is planning a tentative opening at some point during the week of August 8 - 12, 2016.
Once a date has been established, we will pass it along through the Chamber's Facebook page.
The restaurant is owned and operated by the Zendeli family of Yorkville, Illinois; parents Imer and Valentina, son Arber and daughter Laura.
Imer has been a chef for more than 20 years and Valentina (Val) has been working in restaurants for about 18 years.
Val's will serve American breakfast, lunch and dinner fare, from omelettes to sandwiches to pasta. They will also operate a full bar (as Half Nelson's had in the past).
Hours of operation will be; Monday - Thursday from 6 a.m. - 9 p.m., Friday and Saturday from 6 a.m. - 10 p.m. and Sundays from 6 a.m. - 8 p.m.
The entire Zendeli family looks forward to meeting community members and invites everyone to stop in.
