he administration's budget again proposed the elimination of the Legal Services Corporation (LSC) in its budget proposal sent to Congress this month.
Jo-Ann Wallace, president and CEO, said in a statement immediately after details of the recommended budget were released that "the administration’s proposed elimination of LSC would cause millions of Americans to be denied access to critical legal help."
She also noted Congress' commitment to LSC and urged the body to not only "support but increase its allocation ... as the legislative budget process moves forward.”
