Distinguished Service Award
[Chicago, IL] - The National Lumber and Building Material Dealers Association (NLBMDA) was pleased to honor Frank Moore with its Distinguished Service Award in recognition of dedicated service and outstanding contributions toward advancing the mission and goals of the association and the entire lumber and building material industry.

During its NLBMDA Installation and ProDealer of the Year Dinner event on October 17 in conjunction with its annual ProDealer Industry Summit, Rick Lierz, NLBMDA Immediate Past Chair and Jonathan Paine, NLBMDA President & CEO recognized Frank Moore for his contributions and congratulated him on his recent announcement that he will be retiring at the end of the year.

Frank has served as NLBMDA Regulatory Counsel since 2008, when SmithBucklin began managing the association. Frank has worked as Government Relations Counsel for SmithBucklin since 1993, and before that was Counsel on the U.S. House of Representative's Banking Committee’s Subcommittee on Policy Research.

Prior to working on public policy issues, Frank earned his bachelor’s degree from Georgia State, law degree from the University of Georgia, and a graduate law degree from Washington University in St. Louis. Frank has represented dozens of associations over the years at SmithBucklin. NLBMDA members are familiar with Frank for his work on regulatory issues such as the OSHA Crane Rule, transportation safety, and labor and employment compliance.

Frank is committed to volunteer work. Since 2005, he has served as Treasurer for Jubilee JumpStart, an early childhood education center he co-founded to serve low-income families in Washington, D.C. He enjoys spending time with his family and plans to travel with his wife and daughter next summer to watch the Women’s World Cup in France.

“It has been an honor and privilege to work with Frank over the years," said NLBMDA President & CEO, Jonathan Paine. "Even though we are saddened to see Frank leave at the end of the year, we are excited for him and his family. We wish him the very best and congratulate him on a well-deserved retirement. Frank has left a permanent mark on NLBMDA and we are truly thankful for everything that he has done on behalf of the entire lumber and building material industry.”

NLBMDA congratulates Frank on his wonderful contributions to the LBM industry and wishes him a happy retirement.
