White House Announces ALL Employers with 100+ Employees Must Ensure All Workers Are Vaccinated
Alternative is Requiring Weekly COVID-19 Testing for Unvaccinated Employees

Today, the Biden Administration announced that the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) will be issuing an Emergency Temporary Standard (ETS) that will require all employers with 100 or more employees to ensure their workforce is fully vaccinated or require any workers who remain unvaccinated to produce a negative test result on at least a weekly basis before coming to work.

While the ETS has not been officially issued at this time, NLBMDA has serious concerns regarding the imposition of a federal vaccine mandate for these employers. NLBMDA has long-standing policy that encourages policymakers to refrain from the promulgation of overly broad or “one-size-fits-all” rules and regulations, while maintaining strong support for reasonable and workable protections for employees. NLBMDA has already contacted OSHA regarding this announcement and will be meeting directly with OSHA staff on behalf of the entire lumber and building material industry.

This information from the White House was released this evening and NLBMDA will be providing additional information for members as it becomes available.
