Message from the President
Dear Members,
During this busy time for our Young Men students, planning for year end, taking AP exams, seniors making college decisions and preparing to graduate, we, us Mothers, want you to know that we appreciate your efforts for attending meetings, completing required service and culture hours, and committing to the duties of an officer position.
Keep it up, please finish the year strong and do not forget to write your thoughtful year end reports.
The Young Men will have attended their final grade level meetings for the year on Sunday, April 18.
I am also looking forward to seeing all my fellow Mothers and welcoming our new Provisional Mothers at the Mother’s last meeting of the year on Thursday, April 22, 2021, at 9:30 am.
Do not forget, we will have our Compass Dinner on Zoom, Sunday, May 23, 2021 at 6:30pm. The format will be unique and exciting, meals will be delivered and I am truly excited to celebrate our Young Men. Our fabulous Compass Dinner Committee, Team Youth Coordinator and Historians have been planning and diligently working on a presentation that we should all enjoy.
Thank you all for everything you have done this year.
Brenda Morrison, President
Mother of Mitchell, 2018 and Trey, 2023

Please note that Nationals has updated the workflow in how Young Men will record philanthropy hours.
What changed? Nationals had Digital Cheetah include an "Attachment" File location in the Add Hours form. Members will upload a picture of their signed Hours Form here. This can be done in the app or on the website.
How does this help? We no longer need to collect hours forms in paper form as they will be linked in Digital Cheetah.
How do we manage photo verification during the pandemic? During the pandemic, YM should email the historian and their hours mom a picture every time they volunteer.
Important Notes:
- YM must manually log all philanthropy hours now. The calendar no longer logs philanthropy hours automatically.
- The YM meetings will continue to be automatically logged through the meeting calendar.
- YM can only log hours once they have their hours form...i.e. you can't log the hours, then add the form later.
- If the YM does not upload the hours form at the time of hours entry, the hours mom will advise them the YM should delete the recorded hours, and re-upload with the form.
- Please contact your Hours Mom with any questions.

Please Share Your Photos!
|
|
Don’t forget to send us all NLYM photos. We need photos more than ever this year. The photos you are taking while volunteering, at meetings and selfies at home while attending cultural events or making dog toys, blankets or anything NLYM related.
Remember that one person cannot take every picture and all of the pictures serve to enhance the organization. It's going to take every one of us to make sure we have a great NLYM year filled with many wonderful memories through our photos.
