WILDERNESS ELK HUNT

Hunt the most remote wilderness area in the Lower 48!

We love hunting bull elk with a rifle when they are vocal and screaming. This Wyoming outfitter in the Thorofare area of northwest Wyoming (Elk Area 60, Western Region) has been consistently running between 70% and 85% dead on the ground bulls in the 300” plus class.

You will be rifle hunting during the bugle season – not even legal in most States! It sure helps when a big bull screams at you, “Hey, I’m over here!”, and you have a 300-yard rifle in your hands. Great hunting for archery hunters as well; these bulls can be very aggressive.

This guide area borders southeastern corner of the Yellowstone National Park. This is the famed Thorofare Area, so named by Teddy Roosevelt for the heavy animal traffic he saw there.

IF YOU HAVE AT LEAST 5 PREFERENCE POINTS FOR ELK GIVE US A CALL!!

Archery $9000 guided 2X1; Sept. 9-15, 2025

Rifle $9500 Sept. 18-26, Sept. 27- Oct. 5 or Oct. 7-14, 2025

NEW MEXICO #90

DISCOUNTED BULL ELK

This northwest New Mexico (around Chama) outfitter has been featured on numerous television shows with many well-known hunting celebrities. We have sent countless clients to him over the 15+ years we’ve been working with him, with very high success. He is one of our absolute favorites, with a reputation for honesty, hard work and producing elk. This is a high-success hunt for 5x5 and 6x6 bulls. Most will be 270”-290”, with a few 300+”. Most are solid mature bulls, but every year is different, usually due to moisture.

Many of the ranches this outfitter hunts are lower-lying private ground with areas of parks and meadows, scattered water tanks, and conifers, making for fairly easy terrain for those of us who can’t quite climb the way we once could. But he has properties on a few different migration corridors, and bit of snow can make for a really great hunt as the elk start moving and “fresh” bulls wander onto these ranches. In fact, they sometimes take some of their biggest bulls of the year on their late-season hunts.

ALL ELK HUNTS INCLUDE GUARANTEED PRIVATE LAND ELK AUTHORIZATIONS.

SOUTH DAKOTA #101

LIMITED - BISON HUNTS - TROPHY OR MEAT

This outfitter provides one of the more challenging bison hunts in the country, we believe. These bison run on 7,000 acres of rolling hills, canyons and prairie, much like their ancestors did, and the fencing is just 4- and 5-strand barbed wire (rather than high game-proof fenced), so trophy bulls should be eligible for inclusion in the North America 29 Super Slam, as well as SCI. They are about 500 in number and you will need to stalk them. You pick the size of animal you wish to hunt, and you can use archery, black powder, rifle, or pistol. Whatever your weapon of choice, you will earn your trophy – you are not shooting fish in a barrel here. Of course, bison are a plains animal, normally quite visible, so please bear that in mind. Multiple stalks are often needed.

The hunts are conducted from mid-December to the end of February when the hides are in the best condition (there is no difference in the quality of the hunting or the hides from the start to the end of that time). He usually allows you two days, but will give you a third day if needed, which we like a bunch. Success is 100%, and the outfitter will not let you leave without your bison trophy.

Included: Meals and lodging, Guiding, Photo set up, Aberdeen, SD airport pick up/drop off, Field prep, and delivery to processer (processing generally takes up to 2 days)

Processing by their professional butcher runs between $400 and $900 depending upon the size of the bison.

PRICING:

Trophy Bull:  $8795

Medium Bull: $7595

Small Bull: $5,595

Meat Buffalo Cow: $4,395

DATES: Hunts start January 10th and run through the end of February

FLY-IN CANADIAN BULL MOOSE

If you have dreamed of putting a big bull moose on the wall but Alaska or the Yukon is just not in the budget, you need to take a hard look at northern Manitoba. Simply put, this area produces some big bulls at about 1/3 the price of those other destinations!

This family-owned and operated outfitting business enjoys a high percentage of repeat clients. Their fly-in moose hunts are based out of cabin or tent camps on various remote lakes in northern Manitoba, which makes resident hunting pressure almost non-existent. You will be the only hunters on the lake, and hunting is via small motorized boats, with lots of calling and listening for lovesick bulls at strategic locations.

They have just a few spots remaining for this season (including two at a brand new camp for 2025). This 6-day hunt is $13,000 USD per person 2x1 or $16,000 USD per person 1x1. Price includes round trip air transport from Thompson, and also includes moose, bear, wolf and fishing licenses. There are no trophy fees, and you may harvest a black bear or wolf for no extra charge!
