For most of us, a desert sheep hunt represents a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, and if you cannot draw a tag in the American southwest, a guided hunt in Mexico may be the only way to experience this hunt. This is one of the absolute best houndsman we know of. He is known far and wide as one of the best breeders and cat hound trainers in the West, and he has been doing it for nearly 30 years. NM Unit 2 Rifle or Muzzleloader Elk

This elk hunt takes place in NW NM, October 11-15 (muzzy) or 18-22 (rifle) and includes a unit wide elk voucher. This hunt offers opportunity at 260-300 inch bulls. The hunt is spot and stalk and includes lots of hiking and glassing. The terrain consists of sagebrush canyons and pinon/juniper mesas. The unit holds lots of elk and success rates are very high. The hunt is fully guided and includes lodging, meals, transportation in the field, field dressing and field-care of your trophy and guide service. Accommodations consist of a rustic ranch house style camp and guide service is 2x1 (2 hunters per 1 guide).

NM Unit 5B Rifle Bull Elk

This elk hunt is an early or late season bull hunt and takes place in NW NM, Oct 11-15 or Dec 20-24.  This hunt offers opportunity at 280-320 inch bulls.  The hunt includes a unit wide elk voucher. The hunt is spot and stalk and includes lots of hiking and glassing. The terrain consists of mountainous terrain and pinon/juniper and ponderosa pine forests. Unit 5B receives borders the Jicarilla Apache Reservation. The hunt is one of our favorite hunts and offers long range shooting opportunities. The hunt is fully guided and includes lodging, meals, transportation in the field, field dressing and field-care of your trophy and guide service. Accommodations consist of a ranch house style camp.  Guide service is 2x1 (2 hunters per 1 guide). 

NM Unit 6A Archery Elk

This archery elk hunt takes place in NW NM during the rut 5 days between September 1-14 or 15-24 and includes a unit wide elk voucher. This is an action packed rut hunt. Unit 6A is located adjacent to the Valles Caldera National Preserve and home to a healthy population of elk. This unit is really has a ton of elk. This hunt offers a realistic opportunity at 280-320 inch bulls with opportunity for bigger bulls. The hunt is spot and stalk and includes lots of hiking and glassing. The hunt is fully guided and includes lodging, meals, transportation in the field, field dressing and field-care of your trophy and guide service. We offer accommodations of either a ranch house or wall tent camp. Guide service is 2x1 (2 hunters per 1 guide). This is a great archery elk hunt.  

NM Unit 6A Archery Elk

This archery elk hunt takes place on a private ranch in NW NM during the rut 5 days between September 1-14 or 15-24 and includes a private ranch elk voucher. This is an action packed rut hunt. Unit 6A is located adjacent to the Valles Caldera National Preserve and home to a healthy population of elk. This unit is really has a ton of elk. This hunt offers a realistic opportunity at 280-320 inch bulls with opportunity for bigger bulls. The hunt is spot and stalk and includes lots of hiking and glassing. The hunt is fully guided and includes lodging, meals, transportation in the field, field dressing and field-care of your trophy and guide service. We offer accommodations of either a ranch house or wall tent camp. Guide service is 2x1 (2 hunters per 1 guide). This is a great archery elk hunt. 

NM Unit 6A Rifle or Muzzleloader Elk

This rifle or muzzleloader elk hunt takes place October 11-15 (muzzy) or 18-22 (rifle) or 25-29 (rifle) and includes a unit wide elk voucher.  We typically observe the tail end of the rut and will have some bugling during these hunts. Unit 6A is located adjacent to the Valles Caldera National Preserve and home to a healthy population of elk.  This unit is really has a ton of elk. This hunt offers a realistic opportunity at 280-320 inch bulls with opportunity for bigger bulls.  The hunt is spot and stalk and includes lots of hiking and glassing.  The hunt is fully guided and includes lodging, meals, transportation in the field, field dressing and field-care of your trophy and guide service.  We offer accommodations of either a ranch house or wall tent camp.  Guide service is 2x1 (2 hunters per 1 guide). 

NM Unit 6C Rifle or Muzzleloader Elk

This rifle or muzzleloader elk hunt takes place October 11-15 (muzzy) or 18-22 (rifle) or 25-29 (rifle) and includes a unit wide elk voucher. Unit 6C is located adjacent to the Valles Caldera National Preserve and home to a healthy population of elk. This hunt offers a realistic opportunity at 280-320 inch bulls with opportunity for bigger bulls. This is a physically demanding hunt as the terrain is very rough.  The hunt is spot and stalk and includes lots of hiking and glassing. The hunt is fully guided and includes lodging, meals, transportation in the field, field dressing and field-care of your trophy and guide service. Accommodations consist of a wall tent camp. Guide service is 2x1 (2 hunters per 1 guide). 

NM Unit 7 Archery Elk

This archery elk hunt takes place on a 10,000 acre private ranch in NW NM in mid-September during the rut. The hunt is five days between September 1-14 and 15-24 and includes an elk voucher. This hunt offers opportunity at 280-320 inch bulls. The hunt is spot and stalk and includes lots of hiking and glassing. The terrain consists of sagebrush canyons and pinon/juniper mesas. The hunt is fully guided and includes lodging, meals, transportation in the field, field dressing and field-care of your trophy and guide service. Accommodations consist of a ranch house style camp. Guide service is 2x1 (2 hunters per 1 guide). 

NM Unit 7 Rifle Bull Elk

This rifle elk hunt takes place on a 10,000 private ranch in NW NM during late season, any 5 days Nov or Dec and includes a unit wide elk voucher. This hunt offers opportunity at 280-320 inch bulls. The hunt is spot and stalk and includes lots of hiking and glassing. The terrain consists of sagebrush canyons and pinon/juniper mesas. The hunt is fully guided and includes lodging, meals, transportation in the field, field dressing and field-care of your trophy and guide service. Accommodations consist of a ranch house style camp. Guide service is 2x1 (2 hunters per 1 guide).

NM Unit 45 Rifle or Muzzleloader Elk

This back country rifle or muzzleloader elk hunt takes place October 11-15 (muzzy) or 18-22 (rifle) or 25-29 (rifle) and includes a unit wide elk voucher.  Unit 45 is home to the Pecos Wilderness and home to a healthy population of elk. This hunt offers a realistic opportunity at 280-320 inch bulls with opportunity for bigger bulls.  This is a physically demanding hunt as the terrain is very rough.   The hunt is spot and stalk and includes lots of hiking and glassing.  The hunt is fully guided and includes lodging, meals, transportation in the field, field dressing and field-care of your trophy and guide service.  Accommodations consist of a wall tent camp.  Guide service is 2x1 (2 hunters per 1 guide).

This Utah fly fishing lodge is truly one of the great western fly fishing lodges. Awarded the Orvis 2001 and 2012 Fly Fishing Lodge of the Year Award. This lodge is open year-round and fly-fishing and bird watching is ideal from April through November, with the peak river season being June thru October. From September thru November, they offer Cast & Blast packages at their Orvis-Endorsed Hunting Grounds, the largest hunting grounds in all of Utah. Pheasant Hunting continues all fall and winter.

Clients truly enjoy wade/walk fly fishing with some of the best guides Utah has to offer. You can experience picturesque fly fishing on Rock Creek, the Duchesne, Lake Fork, Strawberry, Uintah, Whiterocks and Yellowstone Rivers. This lodge holds the only National Forest guide permits which means you will not run into other guided fisherman on these rivers. These streams on the south slope of the High Uintas provide the excitement and challenges of catching wild trout including rainbows, cutthroat, tiger, brook and brown trout.

The pheasant hunting season on the lodge’s private preserves goes from September to the end of March. This specially managed habitat is perfect for pheasants and pheasant reproduction.
