Religious Accommodations Under Title VII: What Managers need to Know

DeJoy overruled its longstanding precedent on the standard for undue hardship when evaluating religious accommodation requests and raised the bar on employers. NM Counties Wants You for Loss Prevention Specialist!

NMC is a nonprofit nonpartisan organization. Minimum skills include Associate degree in business administration or related field. Four (4) years of work experience in loss prevention and safety administration. Substitutions and/or exceptions for the required education and experience may be considered and authorized by NMAC management.

Implements policies, procedures, and strategies to control losses related to human, capital, and financial resources of member counties. Conducts audits, inspections of county operations, and provides improvement strategies to NMAC and county executives. Excellent benefits package. Offices located in Santa Fe and Albuquerque. NM Counties at NACo Annual Conference

NM Counties was well represented with 39 registrants spanning over 15 counties. The new NACo 2nd Vice President is Mecklenburg County, NMC Commission Chair George Dunlap.

NACo Presidential Appointment - One of Ours!

The honorable Jhonathan Aragon, now Valencia County Deputy Manager, is one of 10 appointed to the NACo Board of Directors At-Large by incoming NACo President Sonoma County Supervisor James Gore. The Board governs the strategic goals, policies, and priorities of the association, as well as oversees the association's policies, business, and property.

New Mexico Engages at WIR

Union County Commissioner Clay Keisling and Curry County Commissioner Seth Martin add to the discussion on wildland fire issues and outdoor recreation during the NACo Annual Conference in Tampa.

NMC Loss Prevention Training

NMC hosted a 40-hour First line Supervisor training in Doña Ana County. In attendance ere 29 detention officers and sheriff's deputies from Roosevelt, Curry, McKinley, Socorro, Luna, San Juan, Lincoln, Grant, Otero, and Doña Ana Counties.

State Forestry Division Offers Hazard Tree Assistance

The NM Energy, Minerals and natural Resources Department's Forestry Division is working with the USDA Forest Service to mitigate potential hazards from trees that could damage roads, structures, or power lines on private lands within the Hermits Peak Calf Canyon burn scar in Mora or San Miguel Counties.Find more information and application HERE.
