National Medical Association Parliamentarian Workshop Presenter

Ms. Beverly Ann Fields, Esq., PRP is a native Washingtonian. She received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Howard University (’89) after which she worked at Booz Allen & Hamilton in the Ship Systems Engineering Practice. She subsequently earned a Juris Doctor, cum laude, from Howard University’s School of Law (’94) and practiced energy law at Dewey Ballantine. Thereafter, she worked on Capitol Hill for three members of Congress. For the past 18.5 years, she has served as Chief of Staff to the D.C. Office of the Chief Medical Examiner. Ms. Fields is a member of the United States Supreme Court Bar, and the D.C. and Md. State Bars and holds a Six Sigma Black Belt certification from Villanova University. She is a member of and holds offices in Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated; The Links, Incorporated; and the National Brotherhood of Skiers, Inc. Ms. Fields is a twenty (20) year member of the National Association of Parliamentarians (NAP) and holds the highest certification of the NAP - Professional Registered Parliamentarian (PRP).  She has held numerous positions within NAP including President, Vice President, Secretary and Parliamentarian for her NAP Unit (Katherine G. Hobson Unit) and Second Vice President and Credentialing Chair of the DC Association of Parliamentarians (DCAP). Ms. Fields has also held the position of parliamentarian in several national organizations; conducted numerous workshops on parliamentary procedure; and assisted organizations with parliamentary opinions, bylaw amendments/revisions and 501©(3) status.
