All trained up for the new year!
The NMA started the new year with collaborative training and had over 24 individuals join us for the day for first aid training and forklift training.
"St. John's trainer Randy was fantastic - very knowledgeable and a wicked sense of humour", exclaimed a training participant.
"Forklift training at Lakeland Multi-Trade was great! I was so happy to be trained locally - I was able to go right back to work without missing a beat!" shared a forklift participant.

It is our goal to incorporate the perspective of local employers and organizations on the different challenges and opportunities that relate to these topics. With this in mind, we have developed two surveys that will help inform the direction of our research and we are inviting you to participate

WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT
The NMA is proud to announce a partnership with Northumberland County in the creation of a workforce recruitment video. The purpose of this video is to recruit potential employees to our area and will be used as a marketing tool to engage individuals and showcase the strength of Northumberland County manufacturers and their current workforce. We look forward to delivering this collaborative project that supports the NMA members.

Loyalist College Upcoming Training Opportunities

Registration is now open for the Loyalist College Career Fair taking place on Wednesday, February 6, 2019 from 11 am to 1 pm   
Showcase your organization by participating in our upcoming Career Fair. Cost of attendance is $100. The Career Fair provides a great place for employers to market current and upcoming full-time, part-time or placement opportunities to Loyalist College students.
Space is limited to the first 100 registrations received. 

ElevatePlus Training Program
The ElevatePlus  Training Program is a new Skills Advance Ontario Pilot project providing a sector based focus on Manufacturing that better align skills training and pre-employment preparation with employers’ needs by supporting partnerships that bring together sector-based employers with relevant employment and training providers.
