The 14th Annual Quick Fuel Technology NMCA Muscle Car Nationals is quickly approaching.  It's been a year since the hallowed grounds of Beech Bend Raceway Park in Bowling Green, Kentucky have experienced the World's Fastest Street Cars. As a result, Hot Rod City USA is ready to rock on the weekend of May 14-17! 

One of the most competitive tracks on the NMCA circuit, Beech Bend Raceway isn't just a track known for producing some of the quickest and fastest times, it's also a favorite of many of the NMCA regulars who favor the pristine surroundings of the tree-lined Barren River and green vistas. However, Bowling Green, KY isn't just about being pretty and serene, in fact it can be far from it, because once the racing begins the atmosphere will hardly be relaxed as racers battle it out not only for pride, but also for class championships.  This event marks the halfway point of the NMCA Flowmaster Drag Racing Series season - in other words, if someone is going to make some noise in the title hunt in one of the 11-class championships, this is where that move will begin.  It's do or die in Bowling Green!

This year's NMCA event in Bowling Green will be hosting the 10th Annual Dave Duell Classic for racers in the ATI Performance Products Nostalgia Super Stock class. The Dave Duell Classic is the largest NSS race in the country and it includes one of the biggest purses with $4,000 going to the winner and $1,500 to the runner-up. Racers will also be competing in their regular class races to see who is the quickest in the land and deserving of a trip to the Aerospace Components Winners Circle. 

There is nothing quite like watching the battles between the "Big-Three" as these wild wheelstanding muscle cars of a bygone area come alive on the quarter-mile. 

Doug Duell, the events organizer and son of the late Dave Duell, for which the event is named in honor of, says he's looking forward to the tenth anniversary of  "The Classic."
