Upcoming Events

NMHA will be partnering with the New Mexico Chamber of Commerce (formerly ACI) and the Santa Fe Chamber of Commerce to present a virtual version of our traditional TRENDS/Business Day event.

Virtual Roundhouse NM will launch with a full day of activities on January 11! Mark your calendar and stay tuned for updates about the agenda.

New Dues Structure

We recognize that 2020 has been a difficult year financially for all our members, and we appreciate your investment in our advocacy and membership services. As of January 1, 2021, NMHA will be rolling out a new membership dues structure that offers discounts and more flexible payment options. We'll be announcing that new structure in late December, 2020.

The History of Hospitality

in New Mexico

The Hospitality Association has been around in some format since the early 1930s. Since those early days of buggy rides and member collaboration, the industry has grown to be the second largest economic driver in the state. Throughout the years, the alliance of our industry members has allowed the industry to impact policy. The January 18, 1936 minutes stressed the importance of working together as an industry to influence legislation and public policy -

"The need for a strong legislative committee was stressed and a general discussion followed on the need of a law regulating tourist camps, laws for bad check writers, skippers, a baggage law, and especially the social security law. It was recommended that the new president appoint such a committee."

Eighty plus years later, NMHA continues to advocate for the industry, and we look forward to working with all of you to build back our industry.

INDUSTRY GIVES BACK -

Even in difficult times, our industry never fails to give back and support the community. On November 20, members of the Asian American Hotel Owners Association (AAHOA) presented United Way of Central New Mexico with a check for $12,067 to help vulnerable community members. Thank you, AAHOA, for your commitment to New Mexico!
