NORTHLEY WEBSITE

Dear Northley Families,

Everyday there are opportunities for children and adults to make choices. This week, Northley Middle School kicks off its program called "Choose To Be Nice at Northley."
Choose To Be Nice is a social enterprise dedicated to empowering meaningful and positive interactions by reminding us all to choose kindness and caring for one another as a way of being in the world. It all starts with a simple promise:

"I promise to Choose To Be Nice and spread kindness wherever and whenever possible."

The Choose To Be Nice Program includes grade-specific learning activities that will guide your child and our classroom community as we learn more about the nine important values of respect, kindness, acceptance, teamwork, honesty, responsibility, friendship, patience, and courage. Learning activities feature appropriate literature, hands on classroom activities, discussions, reflections, and extensions. In addition, each lesson has a home link and activity for students to share and practice what they've learned with you. Please note that home activities are not considered formal homework, but they are designed to help reinforce what we learn in class. We encourage you to ask your student about what they have learned.
We are fortunate that we already enjoy a positive school and classroom community, but at the same time we always strive to improve. We hope that learning about these important values will empower your student to become a Choose To Be Nice ambassador in our classroom, school, and community.

We Are Northley!

IMPORTANT INFORMATION REGARDING SKYWARD
This summer Penn-Delco School District migrated to a new Student Information System (Skyward).  Skyward offers improved functionality to the district and should enable us to improve our record keeping and communication.  The enhanced functionality of the new software allows the district to provide online access to parents.  A central feature of this access is to enable parents to complete updates to certain information. It is extremely important that we have the most accurate information on file for your student(s). To that end, this email is a notice that we have enabled an online update in Skyward Family Access.
Please take a few minutes to log into Skyward Family Access to review and/or update the emergency contact information for your student(s).
For directions on how to complete this Click here >>Updating Emergency Contacts in Skyward

Thank you in advance for your partnership in helping us keep our records up to date.  Please complete this update as soon as possible for each of your children. We sincerely appreciate your efforts.
If you have not received information, you may email the tech department at helpdesk@pdsd.org .  They will respond and set up your account.
