National Migrant & Seasonal Head Start Association Summer Internship Program Apply Now! The National Migrant & Seasonal Head Start Association (NMSHSA) offers an unique internship program to current college students who participated in a Migrant & Seasonal Head Start Program. The NMSHSA Internship Program brings together the next generation of community leaders from across the country to work in Washington, D.C. Our NMSHSA interns come from migrant and seasonal farm-worker families; have participated in one of our member Migrant or Seasonal Head Start programs between the ages of 0 to 5; are rising juniors or seniors in a college undergraduate program; and are active students in their community with proven potential. The seven-week internship program includes a stipend, housing, and work placement in the Washington, D.C. area. Plate of Bounty Award and Scholarships Applications 2021-2022 Deadline for Nomination and Application Submissions: Saturday, January 15, 2022 The National Migrant and Seasonal Head Start Association (NMSHSA) is inviting you to nominate individuals for the Plate of Bounty Award, and/or submit applications for the Bill Castellanos Parent Scholarship Award or the Clint Mitcham Scholarship Award for MSHS staff. All forms are available in English and Spanish. Please share Spanish links with parents. Note: If you submitted an application or nomination during 2021, it will be considered together with anyone submitted from now on. It is not necessary to submit it again. Awardees will be selected from all applications submitted in 2021 until the deadline in 2022. Don't wait for the last minute! Complete the forms below now!

Bill Castellanos Parent Scholarship Award The National Migrant and Seasonal Head Start Association is pleased to announce the availability of one $1,000 scholarships to individuals who are currently pursuing their education in an institute of higher learning and have had a child enrolled in a minimum of one season or currently have a child enrolled in a Migrant and Seasonal Head Start program. COVID-19 Updates

Coronavirus Disease 2019 Supporting MSHS Grantees The spread of the Coronavirus (COVID–19) and the intensity of media coverage surrounding it may be overwhelming, perhaps even frightening.  Prevention is a priority at this time, especially during cold and flu season. Migrant and Seasonal Head Start is a trusted voice in rural communities and it is important that families can turn to you for reassurance and guidance. The NMSHSA offers support in this critical times through information and advocacy. Follow us on our website.
