Water data work with the

Pecos Valley Artesian Conservancy District

The NMWDI is collaborating with the Pecos Valley Artesian Conservancy District (PVACD) to build web applications to help manage and share data in the Pecos River valley of southern New Mexico. The field trip was an important step in helping the NMWDI personnel get to see day-to-day operations at the PVACD, to talk about data challenges, and to work through two digital web applications currently in development. These two applications are aimed at improving tracking of water measurements and to develop groundwater visualizations over time.

This work is part of a U.S. Bureau of Reclamation WaterSMART applied science cooperative grant, which began in 2020.
