FEATURED STORY OF THE MONTH
Alex, Troop 36 Oradell
In honor of the military Veterans who have passed away due to COVID-19, Alex has been playing Taps and the Marine Corps Hymn in front of the New Jersey Veteran's Home in Paramus. Alex's story has been shared by multiple local newspapers, Scouting Magazine, and NBC Nightly News. Click here to read more. We are so proud of how this super Scout has inspired the community. Keep up the great work, Alex!

NNJC GOOD TURN
Do you know of Scouts doing their Good Turn in the community? Use #nnjcgoodturn on social media to share!
Troop 19, Short Hills

Troop 19 and their Bubble Duckies patrol have been working with FLAG (Front Line Appreciation Group) to provide hot meals for first responders and staff in numerous medical facilities in the community. Click here to read the full article about Troop 19 in TAP News Online. So far they've raised over $2,100 for frontline staff. Meals will be ordered from local Milburn restaurant, La Stada's. They are accepting donations on their Go Fund Me page, and asking our Scouting community to make thank-you cards to accompany the meals. If you would like to contribute , please create thank you cards on standard 8 1/2 x 11 papers and scan/email to catherine.desoe@gmail.com by this Friday 4/24/2020.

It's awesome to see our Scouts hard at work in the community!
Troop 146, Hoboken

Brothers Zachary and Noah from Hoboken Troop 146 decided to head to the shoreline of Liberty State Park near the salt marshes to do some cleanup work. They collected 6 garbage bags full of styrofoam, plastic bags, bottles, and other trash that washed up in three hours of work.

April 22nd is Earth Day! Let's follow Zachary and Noah's example and all do our part in caring for the environment (while maintaining proper social distancing, of course). Great job, guys!
