FEATURED STORY OF THE MONTH
Lenapehoking Lodge IX Recognized
Congratulations to the Lenapehoking Lodge IX for being recognized by the Northeast Region of the Boy Scouts of America with the following awards.

2019 E. Urner Goodman Camping Award:  This award was established as a tribute and testimonial to the Order’s founder, E. Urner Goodman to encourage and challenge Order of the Arrow members and lodges to increase their effectiveness in promoting and increasing Scout camping. Over the course of 18 months, Lenapehoking IX rebuilt the Campfire Ring at Camp Lewis including the installation of a stage overlooking the lake. This was in addition to strongly supporting the NNJC Campership fund which helps to assure all youth have the chance to attend Scout Camp.

2019 Innovation Award:  This award was established to recognize chapters and lodges for developing creative and innovative solutions to challenges faced during the implementation of their annual program plans. It has been documented that having an “Fun Activation Event” soon after an Ordeal Weekend greatly increases the active involvement of new members in OA programs. IX rented out a Theater in the fall and showcased the new release of Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker for all members and encouraged them to bring a friend. About 130 Scouts attended this event.
