NEW FOSTER PARENT PRE-PLACEMENT AND CONTINUING TRAINING RULES GOING INTO EFFECT

In 2020, Ohio House Bill 8 (HB 8) authorized the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services (ODJFS) to re-design the foster parent training curriculum and hour requirements. Since then, ODJFS has been drafting administrative code language to implement these changes. These changes will now take effect.

NOAS will implement these changes into our foster parent pre-placement and continuing education training beginning in January 2023. The training schedule can be found on our website, and look at our upcoming social media posts for information as well.

SANTA VISITS NOAS

NOAS families gathered to celebrate the holidays with Santa and Mrs. Claus. There was a lot of food, games, laughter, prizes, and cookies! Many of the children present were adopted by NOAS families and the families were recognized with certificates and framed pictures. We ended the night with a movie and popcorn. We are so thankful for our families at NOAS! Greetings to all! Have a wonderful holiday season!
