Delma K. Noel-Pratt was appointed to Division Chief in February 2013. She is an accomplished police executive with over 24 years of sworn law enforcement experience. Her career began as a Public Service Aide for the City of Miami Police Department in 1989. In 1993, she transitioned over to the Miami-Dade Police Department (MDPD), where she trained and graduated as a Police Officer. She has directed and coordinated numerous multi-agency/entity operations, focusing on Violent Part 1 Crime Reductions.

Myron Patterson Promoted
1st Deputy Commissioner
Field Operations 

His promotion to 1st Deputy in March 2017 elevated him from a two-star to three-star deputy. As 1st Deputy Commissioner of the nation's 4th largest police department, he oversees Field Operations, which is comprised of the most visible members of the department - the department's sworn officers and commanders, whose boots-on-the-ground work supports the Police Department's public safety mission.

San Francisco Bay Area Chapter President, Sekou Millington, has been promoted to Captain with the Oakland Police Department.

San Francisco Bay Area Chapter Member, Nishant Joshi, has been promoted to Captain with the Oakland Police Department. 
 
Cheryl Ann Moody  
2017 Women of Achievement Honoree
 
Cheryl Moody as the first African American female Commander is known by her co-workers at the Pasadena Police Department as "Commander Moody", and by her two sons as, "Mom". Her careers has run from an operating room technician, working in construction, to Police Officer for the past 24 years, including years as a custom's officer for the United States and a Fingerprint Classifier at the Long Beach Police Department. During her career with the PD she has worked the following assignments; Patrol, Neighborhood Crime Task Force, Research & Development, PAL, SES, (first female Sergeant to complete SWAT school), Detectives, Employment Services and Internal Affairs and SWAT Commander.
