NOBLE Monthly Newsletter........................... March 2024

Greetings, NOBLE members and supporters!

Before I say anything else, I have to take this opportunity to thank Team NOBLE for showing up at our Annual William R. Bracey CEO Symposium in Atlanta earlier this month in numbers we had not seen since 2015! Based on your feedback, the gathering provided an opportunity to hear from experts on topics that help us do our jobs in law enforcement better and more efficiently. We are grateful for our speakers, panelists, and guests for their expertise, and we appreciate their support of NOBLE. I offer my sincere thanks to First and Second Vice Presidents Glover and Hall and my special advisors for their input and wise counsel. Last but not least, thank you to our tireless NOBLE staff who invested long hours in making the symposium an event where we could reconnect with friends and colleagues while learning and developing professionally.

At your convenience, take a look at a brief video message in which I shared my thoughts immediately following the conclusion of the symposium.

The United States officially began celebrating Women's History Month in 1987 as an organized way of acknowledging and honoring the contributions women have made to our history, culture and society.

This year's Women's History Month theme is "Women Who Advocate for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion." Nowhere is that more personified than with the women who are members of NOBLE and who demonstrate excellence in their respective local, state and federal agencies -- all while being deliberate about challenging stereotypes, pushing back against discriminatory policies, and demanding justice and equality in the workplace and for the public we serve.

NOBLE salutes all women. We applaud all women in law enforcement. And we give special kudos to the women of NOBLE for your bravery, courage and overall Black, Brown, Red and Yellow girl Magic that we are fortunate enough to see in no short supply!

Happy Women's History Month!

Until next time,

Rodney K. Bryant

46th National President

NOBLE's CEO Symposium Breaks Attendance Records

More than 550 NOBLE members showed up in Atlanta for the Annual William R. Bracey CEO Symposium a little more than a week ago. In addition to the record attendance, NOBLE was excited to welcome a slate of illustrious keynote speakers, panel participants, special guests, partners, and sponsors--all of whom were a critical part of the success of the symposium. As NOBLE moves forward, we will remember the wise words of our speakers and colleagues and incorporate them into our work as an organization and individually as law enforcement professionals.

If you were in attendance, please take a moment to reflect on these memories. If you could not be at the symposium, please know these pictures are just a few of the highlights of three days well spent.

Pictured above: NOBLE board members assembled outside the Georgia State Capitol, where they witnessed the Georgia House of Representatives in legislative session and received a proclamation declaring March 9 as NOBLE Day, Georgia Chapter, in Georgia.

NOBLE Team Up With Maryland State Police to Distribute Child ID Kits

Recently, NOBLE and the Maryland State Police announced its plans to distribute 15,000 free National Child ID Program Kits. The kits allow parents to fingerprint their children and support police efforts to rescue find them if they ever go missing.

President Bryant, whose administration is focusing on increasing awareness of missing, murdered and exploited women and children of color, has established a goal for NOBLE to give away one million kits.

The planned distribution of kits was featured in a story by Salisbury, Maryland's CBS affiliate WBOC on February 16.

Most of the impactful work we do happens in our 54 chapters in six regions throughout the United States, as well as among the members in Canada, the Caribbean, the United Kingdom, and several countries in Africa.

While the national headquarters provides support and resources when needed, it is the boots on the ground approach of our more than 4,000 members that enables NOBLE to make a difference in the areas we care most about.

Thank you for your commitment and your service to this organization and helping to amplify our message of law enforcement. conscience and accountability to communities around the country.
